Pure Soay Sheep from our Asgard Flock sometimes available for sale. Starter flocks, rams and lambs. We pride ourselves on a good selections of genes and a full range of colours. All are flock are fully registered with the RARE BREED SOCIETY TRUST. We have also crossed a few Soay ewes with Shetland Rams for longer staple and lighter coloured fibre this season. Shetland sheep are another rooing, short tailed breed and descend from Soay type primitive sheep and crossed with various other breeds. This has happened over hundreds of years on the islands of Shetland to become the diverse breed it is today with its many different colors and markings. Some Shetlands still have moulfon markings today like there Soay ancestors. These are great sheep for smallholders, conservation grazing and fibre production. Limited lambs available.
